dc.description.abstract	El filme Sophie Scholl (2005) de Marc Rothemund es la historia de una mujer que se comprometió, junto a su hermano y un grupo de amigos, a revelarse contra el nazismo en una época marcada por la violencia, por la supresión de la libertad y, sobre todo, por la perversión que se hizo del Estado alemán y de la conciencia por parte del nazismo. La película, también, viene unida al incisivo impulso dado por la historiografía en la comprensión de esta etapa, y la sujeción que tiene el cine en la representación de la memoria colectiva. Aún así, el cine no trata de sustituir a la Historia sino de completarla como otra manera de entender el pasado. Sophie Scholl se nos presenta, en suma, como un marco de reflexión social y humano con intensas connotaciones emocionales que establece una lección histórica y visual en contra de los totalitarismos.
dc.description.abstract	Marc Rothemund’s film Sophie Scholl (2005) is the story of a woman who, with her brother and a group of friends, undertook to rise up against Nazism in a time marked by violence, the suppression of freedom and, above all, the perversion by the Nazis of the German state and conscience. The film is also linked to the incisive boost given by historiography to our understanding of this period and the power of cinema to influence a representation in our collective memory. Even so, cinema seeks not to replace history but to complete it in another way of seeing the past. Sophie Scholl is, in short, a framework for social and human reflection with intense emotional connotations that teaches a historical and visual lesson about totalitarianism.
