Abstract
El objetivo de este proyecto de ingeniería es el estudio de la incorporación de un alerón de geometría variable para ayudar al frenado de una motocicleta de un concurso de estudiantes (MotoStudent) similar a una motocicleta de Moto3 del Mundial de Motociclismo.
Después de una ligera introducción en la que se explican los conceptos de frenado aerodinámico, y su aplicación a otros vehículos de competición y aviones, hacemos una breve explicación de la competencia MotoStudent.
En relación con el tema central del proyecto, el diseño y el análisis de un alerón de geometría variable, que comenzará con una revisión de la evolución aerodinámica de motocicletas de competición a lo largo de la historia, desde sus inicios hasta nuestros días. Luego continuaremos con una exposición de los conceptos teóricos necesarios para realizar los diseños y su análisis con el fin de elegir el alerón óptima para nuestro propósito.
The objective of this engineering project is to study the incorporation of a variable geometry aileron to assist in braking to a motorcycle of a student competition (MotoStudent ) similar to a motorcycle Moto3 of motorcycling world championship. After a slight introduction which we explain the concepts of aerodynamic braking, and its application to other competition vehicles and aircraft, we make a brief explanation of MotoStudent competition. With regard to the central theme of the project, the design and analysis of a variable geometry spoiler, we will start with a review of the aerodynamic evolution of competition motorcycles throughout history, from its beginnings to present days. Then we will continue with an exposition of theoretical concepts needed to carry out the designs and its analysis in order to choose the spoiler optimal for our purpose. In the design phase, we will explain how to perform the ailerons using a CAD program; In this project we will use Pro/Enginieer. Continuing with an explanation of the steps to follow and how to use the parameters needed to achieve the simulations. Once this study was finished and we were chosen a solution, we will carry out a financial study and its budget, to evaluate the viability of this project for the implementation of this solution in the motorcycle that will participate in the Motostudent competition.
