Abstract
El presente artículo pretende mostrarnos las distintas etapas de la Revolución Cubana filmadas por uno de los mejores cineastas cubanos del siglo XX: Tomás Gutiérrez Alea (1928- 1996). Su trayectoria vital y filmográfica narra la Revolución con el entusiasmo de los primeros momentos; el desencanto de una Revolución instalada en el poder, burocratizada y aislada; y la decadencia de la Revolución y la apertura a la esperanza de construir un país más tolerante.
The present article tries to show us the different stages of the Cuban Revolution filmed by one of the best Cuban filmmakers of the 20th century: Tomás Gutiérrez Alea (1928-1996). His vital path and filmográfica narrates the Revolution with the enthusiasm of the first moments; the disenchantment of a Revolution installed in the power, bureaucratized and isolated; and the decadence of the Revolution and the opening to the hope to construct a more tolerant country.
