dc.description.abstract | The scope of the project is to characterize the illumination in our specific system, although possibilities extend to be able to measure any effect that light produces (optical, acoustic or electric effect) not only used to illuminate but also to excite (increasing the chances not only to diagnosis but also to the therapy, as previously mentioned). The working place provided for the development of the project was perfectly suitable in order to overcome the physical part of the analysis. Since the first objective for the development of the measuring system was not the analysis of biological tissues and emulsions but the analysis of metallic (opaque) surfaces, the laboratory was not prepared for biological studies and sample preparations. Due to the lack of time and the difficulties to maintain the samples in a good state, selected tissues and turbid media were simple, easy to handle, prepare and maintain. For this first phase of the study, characterization was done in a controlled media. As a next stage this would be applied to more complex tissues. | es |
