dc.description.abstract	Si en el modelo filosófico del liberalismo se privilegian los derechos y la neutralidad ética del Estado, y en el comunitarismo se otorga una mayor importancia a la idea compartida del bien, el modelo filosófico republicano reconoce la trascendencia de la participación de los individuos en la sociedad. Por ello, muchos autores contemporáneos han actualizado las ideas clásicas de esta escuela de pensamiento a fin de presentarla como una teoría a medio camino entre teorías opuestas entre sí. No obstante, el contexto de la globalización obliga al republicanismo a dejar atrás las viejas ataduras del patriotismo y de las fronteras nacionales, a fin de convertirse en un puente de comunicación con el ideal cosmopolita ilustrado.
dc.description.abstract	If the philosophical tradition of liberalism favor Rights and ethical neutrality of State, and comunitarian tradition award a big importance to the common idea of the good life, the republican philosophy recognice the significance of participation of citizens in the social decisions. That is why some contemporary authors had update the classic ideas of republicanism to present it like a theory in the middle way between two opposite traditions. But globalisation context force the republicanism to leave behind the old ideas of patriotism and national borders in order to be converted in a comunication bridge with the Enlightment ideal of cosmopolitism.
