Abstract
Hoy en día, las entidades se focalizan cada vez más en las relaciones comerciales, nacionales y sobre todo internacionales, para proyectar su imagen fuera de las fronteras de su país de origen y, en definitiva, para captar nuevos capitales. Posicionar servicios gestionados por tecnologías que actúan sobre las redes de datos agrega notables mejoras a las herramientas que habitualmente se usan en el entorno empresarial, a la par que colabora directamente en el fomento de las relaciones comerciales de las compañías con clientes, proveedores y con otras compañías.
VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) constituye una poderosa tecnología, que bien planificada e implementada, supone para las compañías que la adopten un ahorro sustancial de recursos económicos. Además, facilita el acceso a un amplio espectro de aplicaciones que posibilitan tomar ventaja estratégica en el mercado e incrementar la satisfacción entre sus clientes y empleados.
El objetivo principal de este Proyecto Fin de Carrera es mostrar todo el proceso necesario para el diseño y migración de un sistema global de telefonía IP en un entorno empresarial distribuido mixto, que combina telefonía tradicional y telefonía IP. Se busca facilitar a los trabajadores de la empresa nuevas funcionalidades en sus comunicaciones que ayuden a cumplir los objetivos demandados por la compañía.
Se estudiarán los requisitos demandados por el cliente y sus motivaciones para actualizar su sistema de telefonía, se analizará su infraestructura de comunicaciones actual, y finalmente se expondrá detalladamente la solución técnica diseñada en base a esos requerimientos, explicando los servicios que se pretenden desplegar y las ventajas de las que puede beneficiarse la entidad para lograr un rendimiento global superior. Mediante una minuciosa planificación, se desglosará la evolución del proyecto de migración, desde el planteamiento inicial del diseño del nuevo sistema de telefonía hasta su definitivo paso a producción, se presupuestará globalmente la ejecución de la solución propuesta y se analizará la rentabilidad del proyecto para el proveedor de servicios que lo ejecuta, calculando el tiempo estimado para la obtención del retorno de la inversión (ROI - Return On Investment).
Finalmente, se plantearán algunas ideas de evolución futura en base al sistema de comunicaciones implementado, que puedan ayudar al cliente final a incrementar sustancialmente el rendimiento de sus empleados mediante una experiencia de uso de la plataforma mejorada, a reducir en mayor medida los costes operacionales de la empresa, a reforzar su posición en el mercado y, en última instancia, a multiplicar sus beneficios.
Nowadays, entities are increasingly focused on commercial relationships, national and especially international relationships, to spread its image outside the borders of their country, and eventually for fund raising. Deploying services managed over data network technologies provides important improvements to the frequently used in business environment tools, and contributes directly to the development of commercial relationships of the companies with customers, suppliers and with other companies. VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) is for companies taking it a powerful technology that well planned and implemented, it is a solid fund saving. Also, it provides easy access to a broad spectrum of applications giving the ability to take a strategic advantage in the market and to increase satisfaction for both, its clients and its employees. The main objective of this thesis is to show everything necessary in a process to design and to migrate to a global IP Telephony system on a mixed distributed business environment, which combines classic telephony and IP telephony. It seeks to provide company’s workers new features in their communications to help meet the target demanded by the company. Customer requirements and their reasons to update their telephony system will be studied, current communication infrastructure will be analyzed and finally a detailed technical design based on client requirements will be exposed, explaining services to be deployed and benefits from which company may incur to achieve a higher overall throughput. Through careful planning, the evolution of the migration project is broken down from the initial approach to the new phone system design to its final deployment in production stage. Implementation of proposed solution will be globally budgeted and there will be studied the profitability from service supplier company implementing the migration project point of view, estimating when investment will be returned to the supplier. Finally, some ideas will be raised about future evolution of the IP telephony platform based on implemented solution to help customer to get a greatly increase in the performance of their employees through an improved experience using the system, to increase the reduction in operating costs of the company, to enforce their market positioning and ultimately to multiply their profits.
