Abstract
Es manifiesto el valor que tienen los archivos familiares y personales para las sociedades actuales. En el presente trabajo se parte del análisis histórico y archivístico de documentos privados como fuente de conocimiento, acreditando en el caso que nos ocupa, las características particulares y una parte de la trayectoria vital de Manuel Llobregat Serra. La restitución de su memoria es necesaria frente al olvido que sufrió como deportado a Mauthausen-Gusen, y su testimonio constituye a su vez su único legado. El trabajo tiene la finalidad de aportar profundidad al estudio de caso concreto y realizar el tratamiento del archivo familiar, en contraste con las fuentes disponibles que se complementan entre sí.
It is evident how valuable family and personal archives are to current societies. This paper stems from the historical and archival analysis of private documents as a source of knowledge, therefore substantiating the main characteristics and part of the life course of Manuel Llobregat Serra. The restitution of his memory is necessary since he unfortunately fell into oblivion when he was deported to Mauthausen-Gusen and thus his testimony constitutes, in turn, his only legacy. This paper’s primary goal is to dig deeper into this particular case and carry out a study on the family archive, thus in contrast to the available sources which complement each other.
