Abstract
On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Spanish Civil War, the aim of this articleis to present an overview of the attention that the civil war has received in recent years. It dealswith the most important works, debates and trends of historiography, andit also points out that the civilsociety is concerned with this topic as well, they show their interest through social networks, diverseonlineplatforms and even digital press. Finally, it raises the question about a hypothetical "normalization" ofthe war in the Spanish society
