dc.description.abstract	El pasado 1 de enero de 2016 entró en vigor la Agenda 2030 para el desarrollo sostenible y sus Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS) que guiarán las estrategias internacionales de desarrollo en un horizonte temporal que se extiende hasta 2030. La definición de este nuevo plan de acción buscaba superar las limitaciones de los Objetivos de Desarrollo del Milenio (ODM) abordando aquellos temas excluidos o vagamente afrontados en los mismos, como la igualdad y los derechos humanos, a fin de convertirse en una auténtica “carta para las personas y el planeta en el siglo XXI”. Si bien este propósito ha sido alcanzado en varios aspectos, lo cierto es que los ODS todavía presentan limitaciones que amenazan sus propias aspiraciones de hacer realidad los derechos humanos y alcanzar la igualdad, contradiciendo el principio central de la agenda de que “nadie se quede atrás”.	es
dc.description.abstract	On 1 January 2016, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development officially came into force and will guide international development policies until 2030. One of the main challenges of this new action plan was to overcome the limitations of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and to address those issues excluded or vaguely faced in them, such as equality and human rights issues, in order that the new agenda become an authentic “letter for people and the planet in the twenty-first century”. While this role it has been fulfilled in many aspects, the SDGs still have certain limitations that threaten their own aspiration to realize the human rights and to achieve equality, contradicting in this way the central principle of the agenda providing that “no one is left behind”.	en
