dc.description.abstractEste artículo analiza cómo el ecosistema web 2.0, que promueve audiencias activas, puede ser peligroso para lainformación sanitaria. Se valoran algunos ejemplos de crisis sanitarias o temas controvertidos. Se denuncia cómo los algoritmosde Google o la neutralidad de Wikipedia dan pábulo a auténticos charlatanes anticientíficos que defienden hipótesis estrafalariascomo la homeopatía o la antivacunación. Y concluye que internet hace más necesario que nunca el oficio del periodistaespecializado, cuyo principal cometido es diferenciar la fuente solvente del charlatán.es
dc.description.abstractThis article analyzes how the web 2.0 ecosystem, which promotes active audiences, might be dangerous for health information. It considers some examples of health crisis or controversial subjects. It denounces how the Google algorithms or the Wikipedia neutrality give place to authentic antiscientific charlatans that defend outrageous hypothesis as homeopathy and the ant vaccination movement. The article concludes that Internet makes it necessary as never before the work of specialized journalism, whose main mission is to differentiate the reliable sources from the charlatan.
