Abstract
El propósito de estas páginas es contribuir, centrándonos en el caso aragonés, al
estudio del inicio de las transformaciones que se operaron en el sistema crediticio a
finales del Antiguo Régimen desde una doble perspectiva: la crisis del régimen censal y
el desarrollo de una nueva figura crediticia, todo ello a partir del conocimiento de la
propia situación económica de las comunidades rehgiosas, que se vieron atrapadas entre
la crisis del mecanismo de crédito que ellas habían dominado secularmente y el surgimiento
de nuevas figuras, con otro alcance y otros intereses, claramente contradictorios
con el estado de dominio de la propiedad feudal.
The aim of these pages is to contribute, paying particular attention to the case of Aragón, to the study of the beguining of the changes which took place in the credit System towards the cióse of the Oíd Regime from two points of view: that of the censal system and that of the development of a new credit system, based an knowledge of the economic situation of the religious comunities, which become trapped between the cedit mechanism crisis, which they had controlkd for centuries, and the appearance of new figures, with a new significance and fresh interese, clearly contradictory to the powcrful state of feudal propcrty.
