Abstract
The nal goal of this project is the development of an extendible open source game that will allow the study of the AI techniques that can be suitable for this domain. Also, as a result of this project, the implementation of an automatic player able to manage itself in the scenario, trying to achieve its goals, will be presented. This work has been structured as follows: First of all, the background and the state of art will be analyzed. It is important to have a clear idea of the existing work related to this topic in order to be able to understand the contributions to the eld that can be made. Starting from the anal- ysis of the current situation and the existing solutions, it is important to learn about current tendencies in computer game development. It is also necessary to perform a study of the requirements of the particular problem we are going to solve in or- der to check the suitability of solutions that already exist and solve similar problems. Subsequently, a design of the architecture will be produced, containing the solution that has been chosen in order to solve the above mentioned problem. This approach can be based in one or more techniques previously studied in the state of the art, whether a combination or an adaptation of many of them. This design will de ne the structure and its components. After the analysis and description of the solution, the results of its implementa- tion will be shown and evaluate. The performance and feasibility of our approach will be studied from these results. Finally, some conclusions will be given in order to understand better the solution that has been chosen, the results obtained and the bene ts resulting from it.
