Abstract
Son muchas las obras cinematográficas que se ocupan de retratar la vida de autores literarios o personajes famosos. En este tipo de creaciones nos encontramos, muchas veces, más cerca de la ficción que de la realidad. El espectador tiende a querer creer que estas personas experimentan las situaciones que relatan en sus obras, y que verdaderamente hay mucho de ellos en sus historias. La identidad del autor es omitida y sustituida por la que el espectador le crea. No nos interesa conocer la biografía verdadera porque podría defraudarnos, sino fijar la imagen visual que hemos construido previamente y que se adapta a nuestras expectativas.
There are many films that deal with portraying the lives of literary figures or celebrities. In this kind of creation, we are often closer to fiction than to reality. Viewers tend to want to believe that these people truly experience the situations that they relate in their works, and that there is indeed much of them present/contained in their stories. The author's identity is omitted and replaced by the one the viewer creates for him. We are not interested in knowing his real life because it might disappoint us, but in setting reaffirming the visual mental image that we have built previously and that fits our expectations.
