Abstract
La fijación del programa y libro de texto que deben seguirse por los catedráticos al impartir sus asignaturas estaba reñida con la
libertad de cátedra. Pero es necesario controlar las ideas que se vierten en las aulas universitarias y a la vez, potenciar las publicaciones de los profesores. Por ello, se arbitra una fórmula intermedia que
pretende remediar estas cuestiones: se determinan los únicos manuales que deben explicarse y se concede al docente libertad para elegir cuál de los textos reseñados por ley quiere seguir.
Because of the freedom of cátedra, professors (catedratics) are permitted to organize the program of their subject, and choose text- works, as they wish. But is necessary to control the ideas which are used university classrooms, and to encourge academic publications.An intermediate position is proposed: only those textworks approved by law can be used, but teacher will be able to choose wich texts ihat will be used in their classes.
