dc.description.abstractCon el rodaje para la televisión de Sócrates, el cineasta italiano Roberto Rossellini iniciaba en 1970 una serie de películas biográficas sobre grandes figuras de la historia del pensamiento, como parte integrante de un proyecto de “Enciclopedia Audiovisual” que pretendía seguir la propuesta del pedagogo checo Jan Amos Comenius. Sócrates se estructura a partir de los diálogos “Apología de Sócrates” y “Fedón”, de Platón, y de los “Recuerdos de Sócrates”, de Jenofonte. Rodada en la pequeña localidad castellana de Patones de Arriba, Sócrates fue coproducida por TVE y emitida en el espacio teatral “Estudio Uno”.
dc.description.abstractWith filming for television the film Socrate, the Italian director Roberto Rossellini in 1970 began a series of biographical movies about great figures in the history of thought, as part of a project of "Audiovisual Encyclopedia" that he intended to follow the proposal of the Czech pedagogue Jan Amos Comenius. Socrate is structured from the talks "Apology of Socrate" and "Phaedo", by Plato, and "Memoirs of Socrate”, by Xenophon. Shot in the small Spanish town of Patones de Arriba, Socrate was co-produced by TVE and broadcasted in the theater program "Studio One".
