Almahisto

El proyecto Almahisto (HAR2011-27540) ha diseñado, desarrollado y alojado en red un repositorio institucional en el que puedan almacenarse todos los documentos necesarios para desarrollar una investigación historiográfica en el período que va desde la llegada de los Borbones al trono de España (1700) hasta el final de la Guerra Civil (1939). El proyecto continúa la trayectoria de otros proyectos de investigación desarrollados en el seno del Instituto de Historiografía “Julio Caro Baroja” y de los departamentos de Humanidades, Documentación e Informática de la Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. Almahisto se plantea como objetivo que el repositorio se convierta en un instrumento que en el futuro recoja la documentación de otras etapas históricas.

HISTORY STORE. REPOSITORY OF SPANISH HISTORIOGRAPHY (1700-1939)

As a continuation of previous research projects developed within the Institute of Historiography “Julio Caro Baroja” at the Department of Library and Documentation and the Computing Service Department of the UC3M, this project aims to design and host in an institutional repository network on Historiography. The team will design a model repository where it will be possible to store all the documents required to develop a historical research in the period from the arrival of the Bourbons to the Spanish throne (1700) to the end of the Civil War (1939). The beginning and ending dates that have been mark a major shift in the perception, development and history research in Spain. The arrival of the Bourbons was a major boost for historical research enhanced by the creation of the Royal Academy of History, while the Civil War marked what has been called the Silver Age of Spanish culture, a remarkable period for the quality of its scholars and intellectuals and for the special attention also paid to the consolidation of History as a scientific discipline.
