Esta vieja relación interdisciplinar se ve afectada por el creciente protagonismo de la presencia tecnológica en las expresiones culturales emergentes. Desde el media art veremos en qué modo el artista digital puede llegar a superar los límites del modelo narrativo clásico mediante la incorporación de instalaciones interactivas, hipertextuales y multisensoriales capaces de proyectar al espectador hacia nuevos horizontes creativos, proponiendo, al mismo tiempo, una nueva aproximación al mundo literario y al objeto libro. Se revisarán conceptos clave como la "obra abierta" de Umberto Eco o el "prosumidor" de Alvin Toffler. Para ilustrar esta serie de planteamientos nos detendremos en el análisis de una selección de casos concretos.The aim of this article is to update the state of the art of the interstylistic, thematic and communicative connections between literature and art. These old interdisciplinary relations are affected by the increasing presence of technology in the emerging cultural expressions. From media art we will confirm in which way the digital artist may go beyond the limits of classic narrative patterns by incorporating interactive, multisensorial and hypertextual installations; these artworks are able to project the viewer into new creative horizons and, at the same time, those can propose a new perspective to literary world and the book itself as an object. We will review key concepts such as "open work" by Umberto Eco or "prosumer" by Alvin Toffler.
