Usando este caso empìrico, el artículo rechaza la tesis implícita contenida en parte de la literatura escrita acerca de los movimientos sociales que sugiere que los grupos en condiciones desfavorables se organizan a sí mismos en defensa sólo de sus propios intereses. Este artículo dfiende que otros ciudadanos pueden hacer esto por ellos.In the last two decades, the «Mothers against Drugs» movement has organized itself in Spain to the extent of proposing before the State and society in general vindications in favour of their drug-addicted children and drug addicts in general.
