Así las cosas, el léxico de la “hospitalidad” y también, quizás, el de la “integración”, en vez de erradicar la “irregularidad” constitutiva del migrante y su subalternidad igualmente constitutiva, de alguna manera acaba confirmándolas.Although only a small minority of foreigners who live in Italy are ilegal immigrants, the “irregularity” is a typical feature of the migrants’ condition, either because a large part of them is exposed to the risk of becoming illegal, or because the immigrant is seen, in the hosting society, as someone who, by definition, is forbidden to reside in the territory of the state if, more or less explicitly, not allowed to do so.
