MUFACE is an experimental public1y funded health care system, restricted lO civil servants and their dependants, that meets all the conditions of managed competition among insurers. This article tries to offer an analysis of sorne aspects of MUFACE. It includes fIrstIy a fonnalization of the incentives (a capitation) imposed to insurers and their optimal behaviour.
