AB The form of a book conditions the reader's access to a text. Publication therefore becomes a crucial factor in the reception of a text. Based on the successive editions of «Humo, dolor, placer» («Smoke, Pain, Pleasure») by Alberto Insúa, the present study analyzes the publishers' choices together with the expectations awakened in the reader.
