T1 El medio rural como escenario histórico: Cañas y barro (1954) y Amanecer en Puerta Oscura (1957)

AB En la década de los cincuenta se concentra una de las producciones cinematográficas de temáticarural más cuantiosa de la historia del cine español. El medio rural -campo, montaña, albufera-,define la singular especificidad del registro dramático de las narrativas fílmicas allí localizadas.Además, al ojo del historiador contemporáneo, se erige como agente conformadorde un nuevo sujeto de acción social en interacción con la política española de mediados delsiglo XX.En este artículo el cine rural español de los cincuenta es analizado desde la perspectiva de losEstudios Culturales para determinar el papel que tuvo en la revelación de la comunidad ruralen el contexto de irrupción de la modernidad en el panorama español. Para conseguir tal propósitoel análisis se centrará en los casos de Cañas y Barro (Juan de Orduña, 1954) y Amaneceren Puerta Oscura (José María Porqué, 1957).
AB The 1950s concentrate one of the largest cinematographic productions of rural cinema overthe ample history of the Spanish cinema. The rural milieu -countryside, mountain, lagoondefinesthe singular specificity of the dramatic register of the filmic narratives based therein.Furthermore, from the perspective of the contemporary historian, the rural milieu is viewed asan element that conforms a new subject of social action in constant interaction with the Spanishpolitics of the mid-twentieth century.In this paper, the Spanish rural cinema of the 1950s is analysed from the perspective of theCultural Studies to determine the role it had in the revelation of the rural community withinthe context of the irruption of modernity in the Spanish scene. In order to achieve this goal,the focus will be placed on the cases of Cañas y Barro (Juan de Orduña, 1954) and Amaneceren Puerta Oscura ( José María Porqué, 1957).
