AB La venta de bulas de Cruzada fue un mecanismo utilizado por la MonarquíaCatólica para financiar las guerras que mantuvo contra los musulmanes y los turcos desde losúltimos tiempos medievales y durante toda la Modernidad. La producción de estasindulgencias en la imprenta de San Pedro Mártir de Toledo afianzó a este conventomendicante como una de las instituciones más prestigiosas de los reinos hispánicos no sólopor los enormes beneficios económicos que el negocio reportó a la comunidad, sino tambiénporque otorgó a los frailes un destacado papel en el mundo de la cultura escrita.
AB The sale of bulls of the Crusade was a mechanism used by the CatolicMonarchy to finance the wars against Muslims and Turks from the late medieval times to themodern period. The printing of these indulgences at the press of Saint Peter the Martyr inToledo strengthened this mendicant convent as one of the most prestigious institutions in theHispanic kingdoms, not only due to the enormous economic benefits that this business gave tothe community, but also because it granted the friars a leading role in the realm of writtenculture.
