RT Journal Article T1 Growth dynamics of crystalline tensionlless surfaces A1 Moro, Esteban A1 Cuerno, Rodolfo A1 Sánchez, Angel AB We introduce a model for two-dimensional crystalline tensionless surfaces. In equilibrium, themodel exhibits a roughening transition to the high temperature phase of the sine-Gordon (sG)model, though its initial stages are rougher and described by the linear molecular beam epitaxyequation; the transition temperature is about half the sG one. Depending on distance to equilibriumand temperature, the model can behave as a nonmoving flat interface, a moving interface withoscillatory roughness, or a rough moving interface. Possible experimental applications are discussed.[S0031-9007(97)03495-9] PB American Physical Society SN 0031-9007 (prin version) SN 1079-7114 (online version) YR 1997 FD 1997-06-30 LK https://hdl.handle.net/10016/14930 UL https://hdl.handle.net/10016/14930 LA eng DS e-Archivo RD 1 sept. 2024
