La presencia de la noblezadesde tiempos bajomedievales, pero sobre todoen épocas moderna y contemporánea, ocupandoaltos cargos en la Administración y la Iglesia, asícomo sus extensos vínculos matrimoniales, conllevaronque muchos de los títulos aristocráticostuvieran alguna relación con Navarra. El autor identificadicha documentación que hace referencia alejercicio de responsabilidades políticas, militareso religiosas en el antiguo reino o bien propias dela gestión patrimonial de sus bienes.
AB The Nobility Section of the National HistoricalArchive was founded in 1988 to hold thefiles of noble origins which were received eitherby purchase or donation. The presence of nobilityfrom early medieval times, above all in modernand contemporary eras, occupying high positionsin the Administration and the Church, as well astheir extensive matrimonial links, meant thatmany of the aristocratic titles had some relationto Navarre. The author identifies this documentationwhich makes reference to the exercisingof political, military and religious responsibilitiesin the old kingdom or belonging to the hereditarymanagement of their possessions.
