AB El problema de la lectura directa de la "Política" de Aristóteles por parte de Dante sigue sin resolverse en los estudios sobre la formación intelectual y la biblioteca del poeta. La digresión política en el libro IV del "Convivio" permite tejer más factores de la tradición cultural que ha transmitido el pensamiento y el texto de Aristóteles: desde la versión latina de Guillermo de Moerbeke y los comentarios de Tomás de Aquino y Pierre d Auvergne hasta el tratado de Egidio Romano (probablemente conocido por Dante gracias a una vulgarización toscana). Los métodos de reutilización y transformación del texto de la Política también permiten reflexionar sobre la investigación hasta ahora utilizada con el objetivo de rastrear cierta evidencia del conocimiento (o de la falta de conocimiento) del tratado aristotélico por parte de Dante.
AB The problem of Dante's direct reading of Aristotle’s Politics continues to beunresolved in the studies on the poet's education and personal library. The "politicaldigression" in the fourth book of the Convivio allows to weave more factors of the cultural tradition that has conveyed Aristotles’s thought and text: fromthe Latin version of William of Moerbeke to the commentaries of ThomasAquinas and Pierre d'Auvergne up to the treatise of Aegidius Romanus (probablyknown by Dante thanks to a Tuscan vulgarization). The methods of reusingand transforming the text of the Politics also make it possible to reflect on the surveymethodology, used hitherto with the aim of tracing certain evidence ofDante’s knowledge (or the lack of knowledge) of the Aristotelian treatise.
