T1 El robot en el cine estadounidense: de esclavo a hombre libre

AB El presente artículo se centra en la visión tecnofóbica que la sociedad estadounidense poseía en la década de los 50 y, para ello, utiliza el film Planeta prohibido (Forbidden Planet, Fred McLeod Wilcox, 1956) como soporte para su análisis. La reestructuración del mundo daría comienzo en 1945 con la detonación de la bomba atómica en Hiroshima y Nagasaki: daba comienzo así la Guerra Fría y con esta la era atómica. Para dicha época la ciencia y sus hallazgos jugarían un papel determinante para el mundo. La sociedad observaría con recelo los nuevos avances y Planeta Prohibido es un ejemplo fehaciente del estado de ansiedad de lapoblación norteamericana. Dos elementos tecnológicos del film: el educador plástico y el Robby el robot servirán de patrón para advertir del riesgo que implica para el mundo la ciencia mal aplicada. La figura de Robby, en cambio, abrirá nuevas vías, más conciliadoras, entre sociedad y ciencia.
AB This article focuses on technophobe vision in American society held in the Decade of th 50, and therefore used the film Forbidden Planet (Fred McLeod Wilcox, 1956) as support for its analysis. The restructuring of the world would give start in 1945 with the detonation of the atomic bomb in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Gave start so the Cold War and did start it was Atomic. In it, the science and its findings would play a role determinant for the world. The society would observe with distrust towards those new advances and Planet Forbidden, is an example irrefutable of the state of anxiety of the american population. Two elements technology of the film: the educator plastic and the robot Robby will serve of pattern to warn of the risk that implies for the world the science wrong applied. The figure of Robby instead, will open new routes more conciliating between society and science.
