AB La autonomía individual se puede proyectar en la consolidación de situacionesque hagan imposible a su titular el ejercicio futuro de su capacidad de decisión.El problema adquiere matices diferentes en los supuestos de expresa asuncióndel compromiso intemporal de renuncia a la libertad, de disponibilidad de lavida por parte de su titular, haciendo de hecho inviable cualquier actuaciónsubsiguiente, y de aprobación del establecimiento de cláusulas inamovibles enlos textos constitucionales. La solución a adoptar requerirá en todo caso la activaciónde los mecanismos necesarios para que la decisión adoptada pueda considerarselibre de cualquier inducción por parte de otro individuo o del conjuntode la sociedad.
AB Individual autonomy can be manifest in situations which render impossiblethe future exercise of the individual’s decision-making capacity. The problemacquires various nuances in cases of expressing acceptance of time-limitlesscommitment of the surrendering of freedom, of suicide (thereby rendering nonviableany subsequent conduct) and of the approval of the establishing of nonremovableclauses in the constitutional texts. The solution to be adopted willalways require the activation of the necessary mechanisms so that the decisionthat has been reached can be considered free of any type of inducement by anyother individual or by society in general.
