Hacia un nuevo modelo narrativo. El manifiesto cinematográfico futurista

Abstract

Este estudio trata de demostrar que el momento esencial de ruptura con el pasado, no corresponde a la invención del procedimiento de captación de imágenes en movimiento en la última década del siglo XIX, si no al planteamiento de nuevos modelos estético-narrativos desde el ámbito cinematográfico, a partir de la década de los años diez. Entre las principales aportaciones llevadas a cabo, hay que destacar la publicación del manifiesto cinematográfico futurista en 1916, al constituir el primer intento de sistematización de los retos planteados por este nuevo medio. A través del análisis de las principales aportaciones de este texto programático valoraremos el papel de esta vanguardia al ámbito del cine experimental y su posible repercusión en posteriores producciones fílmicas.

The aim of this study is to prove that invention of cinema was not when rupture with the past occurred, but with the proposal of new aesthetic and narrative models in the teens. Among the multiple contributions, we must highlight the “Futurist Cinema Manifesto”, published in 1916. It represents the first attempt to systematize the limits and boundaries of this new medium. Through the analysis of this document we will assess the role of this avant-garde in the experimental cinema and the potential impact on further film productions.
