Desarrollo de un sistema interactivo para el control de dispositivos domóticos en el hogar

Abstract

Este Trabajo de Fin de Grado, del cuál se detallan su desarrollo y funcionamiento en las siguientes páginas, nace de la inquietud de la autora por crear un sistema el cuál sea capaz de realizar una tarea útil y que facilite la vida del usuario. Así pues, el ámbito elegido para realizarlo fue el de la domótica, pues últimamente cada vez existen más viviendas que posean cierto grado de automatización, y se prevé que en un futuro no muy lejano la mayoría de las viviendas sean “Smart Homes”. Cuando se pensó en la forma que permitiera hacer esta idea realidad, se trataron dos aspectos principales, de campos distintos pero que a la vez necesitan complementarse: la forma de comunicarse con el sistema y la forma de este de actuar sobre los diversos dispositivos domóticos. Para la primera cuestión, rápidamente se pensó en la manera más innovadora de comunicación con dispositivos móviles disponible en la actualidad: los asistentes conversacionales. Estos asistentes permiten al usuario comunicarse de forma fácil e intuitiva con el sistema. Para la segunda cuestión a resolver, las placas de desarrollo como Arduino son una opción barata y muy personalizable para poder controlar dispositivos de forma sencilla. Además, dado su bajo coste, resultan especialmente atractivas para la realización de proyectos de este tipo. Este proyecto se puede enmarcar a su vez en el ámbito del “Internet Of Things” o “IoT”, disciplina en auge que recoge todos los proyectos y sistemas que poseen dispositivos que puedan comunicarse entre ellos e interactuar, y que comúnmente lo hacen conectados a redes de transmisión inalámbricas. En la realización de este proyecto se distinguen varias fases diferenciadas, entre las que se distinguen recogida de información, comprensión y análisis de esta, desarrollo del sistema y prueba de sus funcionalidades y redacción de la memoria. Todo el trabajo realizado tanto en la aplicación real como en el presente documento han dado como resultado un sistema que funciona correctamente y cumple los requisitos deseados, así que, se puede considerar el proyecto que se detalla a continuación como un éxito que sirve para poner el broche final a cuatro años de un grado universitario también caracterizado por aunar elementos de distintos campos de la Ingeniería como es el Grado en Ingeniería en Tecnologías Industriales.

This Final Degree Project, which its development and operation are detailed in the following pages, stems from the author's concern to create a system which is capable of performing a useful task which facilitates the user's life. Thus, the area chosen to do it was home automation, because lately there are more and more homes that have a certain degree of automation, and it is expected that in the not too distant future most of the homes will be “Smart Homes”. When thinking about how to make this idea a reality, two main aspects were discussed, of different fields but which at the same time need to complement each other: the way of communicating with the system and the way of acting on the various home automation devices. For the first question, we quickly thought about the most innovative way of communicating with mobile devices available today: conversational assistants. These assistants allow the user to communicate easily and intuitively with the system. For the second issue to be solved, development boards like Arduino are a cheap and very customizable option to control devices easily. In addition, given their low cost, they are especially attractive for carrying out projects of this type. This project can be framed in the field of "Internet Of Things" or "IoT", a booming discipline that collects all projects and systems that have devices that can communicate with each other and interact, and that commonly do so connected to wireless transmission networks In the development of this project, several differentiated phases are distinguished, which are information collection, understanding and analysis of it, development of the system and test of its functionalities and report writing. All the work done both in the real application and in this document has resulted in a system that works correctly and meets the desired requirements, so, the project detailed below can be considered as a success that serves to put the final four-year brooch of a university degree also characterized by combining elements from different fields of Engineering which is the Degree in Industrial Technologies Engineering.
