Procesos, permanencias y transformaciones en los paisajes urbanos bonaerenses. Exploración histórico-visual en las ciudades de Mar del Plata, Tandil y Necochea-Quequén, Argentina

Abstract

El paisaje urbano se comprende como una construcción dinámica en la que confluyen aspectos naturales y culturales de la historia pasada y presente. En los procesos que lo constituyen se verifican móviles procesos paisajísticos, explorados en la presente ponencia mediante las prácticas de turismo y tiempo libre. Desde un enfoque históricovisual, interesa reconocer, por un lado, las concepciones de cada paisaje, cuáles han sido las imágenes visuales y mentales a las que se ha apelado y, por otro, examinar sus permanencias y transformaciones en el tiempo. En particular, esta exploración se realiza a partir de la interpretación de dos guías de viaje: la primera publicada por el Automóvil Club Argentino (ACA) en 1943 y la última editada por los Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales (YPF) en 2014. Estas instituciones fueron relevantes en las políticas de viaje, el impulso vial, las pautas de consumo y la movilidad turística entre las décadas de 1920 y 1930. El desafío, así, consiste en interpretar sus imágenes y discursos, construcciones que han signado gran parte de los paisajes urbanos en análisis. Esta perspectiva permite penetrar en las relaciones que se articulan entre la historia cultural, el turismo, los ambientes construidos, los naturales y los imaginarios urbanos. Relaciones que no sólo abogan por ampliar las concepciones paisajísticas, sino que también contribuyen a complementar enfoques patrimoniales más tradicionales hacia posibles acciones integrales de salvaguarda.

The urban landscape is understood as a dynamic construction in which converge natural and cultural aspects from past and present history. In the processes that constitutes it, mobile landscape means are verified in the present presentation through the approach of practices of tourism and free time. From a historical-visual focus, it is interesting to recognize, on the one hand, the conceptions of every landscape , which have been the visual and mental images to which it has appealed and, on the other side, to examine permanencies and transformations in the time. This exploration, in particular, is realized from the interpretation of two guides about travelling: the first one published by "Automóvil Club Argentino” (ACA, Argentina Automobile Club) in 1943, and the last one edited by "Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales" (YPF, government oil company) in 2014. The mentioned institutions were relevant in policies of travelling, road impulse, guidelines of consumption and touristic mobility between the decades of 1920 and 1930. The challenge, in this way, consists in interpreting their images and speeches, constructions that have signaled great part of the urban landscapes in analysis. This perspective allows penetration into the relationship articulated among cultural history, tourism, constructed environments, native and imaginary urban ones. Relationship that not only pleads for extending landscape conceptions, bul also helps complementing more traditional patrimonial approaches towards possible integral actions for safeguard.
