dc.description.abstract Curing of an epoxy resin was studied by steady-state fluorescence and correlationed with IR methods to get more insight on the physical processes occurring during the curing of an epoxy/amine system. We have synthesized and tested a set of 9-anthroic acid (AA) derivatives, that are sensitive to changes in the medium properties. Its fluorescence response is analyzed and compared and it is concluded that N-dibutylanthroic acid amide shows the best performance.
