Abstract
The UAVs are the future of the aerial transportation and so are the composite materials. This project is a combination of both of them, the design of the wing different layups until reaching the best one. This design should be an open-door for the new discoveries and findings in the aeronautical sector. The project has tested two composite materials with the same fiber reinforcements but different matrix epoxy, in order to develop this study the Hashin failure criteria is used to assure a safe structure. The Hashin failure criteria consists in analysing the fiber and the matrix under tension and compression, and the coefficient of these four analysis should be lower than the unit. The results show that it is better to use a composite material with higher mechanical properties, even though the density is higher. These better properties allow a simpler structure of the layup.
