Abstract
This Bachelor Thesis is devoted to the development of an optimization routine to find the values of the parameters describing a tandem configuration of flapping wings so that they maximize its propulsive efficiency. To fulfill this purpose, the optimizer implements an in-house immerse boundary DNS simulator already developed by the Aerodynamics research group of the University Carlos III de Madrid.
