| Abstract: | The search for a language that is appropiate to achieve a coherent integration between popular a highbrow elements was one of the constant features of Spanish nationalist music. This paper presents an analysis of the Auartet in A Major "Carlos III" by Conrado del Campo (1878-1953) as an example or a skifull syntesis between a solid constructive technique and a material that evokes the "castizo" qualities of the 18th century. |
