Abstract

El subsistema 7 corresponde a los determinadores que poseen unas marcas generales comunes –temporal (en sentido estricto), no comparativo y modal– y los elementos de las oposiciones generales ± durativo, ± implica frecuencia de los eventos y ± deíctico. Además cuenta con unas marcas específicas que dan lugar al siguiente conjunto de oposiciones: ± evento determinador de la estructura performativa, con rango igual / con rango diferente, ± necesaria continuidad en el tiempo, no anterioridad - no posterioridad / anterioridad / posterioridad, ± presuposición, ± atención al intervalo, ± marcan el modo de suceder de los eventos (dentro / fuera de una escala de aparición), ± intervalo necesariamente regular, ± definido, ± cuantificable y analítico / sintético. De la unión de estas oposiciones específicas y las marcas generales surge un subsistema de veintisiete tipos diferentes de determinadores. Pero el sentido total del subsistema 7 está determinado por su oposición al conjunto de los subsistemas 1-6, no modales estos frente a aquel (modal.

Subsystem 7 deals with the determiners which gather the following general common features: (strictly) temporal, non-comparative, modal as well as the next general oppositions: ± durative, ± implying the frequency of the events, ± deictic. As far as their specific marks are concerned, the aforesaid determiners can be described via these oppositions: ± event determining the performative structure, with a similar rank / with a different rank, ± necessary temporal continuity, no anteriority-no posteriority / anteriority / posteriority, ± presupposition, ± stating the interval, ± stating the order of events (inside / outside of an appearance scale), ± necessarily regular interval, ± definite, ± quantifiable, analytic / synthetic. If we link these specific oppositions with the general features, we can establish a subsystem of twenty-seven different types of determiners. Nonetheless, the comprehensive meaning of subsystem 7 (modal) is determined by its opposition to all the subsystems 1-6 (non-modal).
