La determinación temporal del enunciado (V): El subsistema 3

Abstract

El subsistema 3 corresponde a los determinadores que poseen las marcas generales: temporal (en sentido estricto), no comparativo, no modal, no durativo, sin determinación de repetición, no implica frecuencia de los eventos, deíctico y anafórico. Y también unas marcas específicas que dan lugar al siguiente conjunto de oposiciones: ± simultaneidad temporal necesaria con otro evento, ± relación con las partes de un evento anterior, ± anterior / posterior, ± inminente, ± final, ± implica necesariamente una ocasión homologable anterior, ± espacio temporal explícito entre el suceso 1 y el suceso 2, ± adición, adición negativa / doblemente negativa (afirmativa), ± presuposición , no lejano / ± lejano / lejano, ± definido , ± particularizado, ± límites precisos, ± puntual, ± eventos coordinados previo s, ± evento determinador de la estructura performativa y ± inmediato. De la unión de estas oposiciones específicas y las marcas generales surge un subsistema de setenta tipos diferentes de determinadores. Pero el sentido total del subsistema 3 está determinado por su oposición, como un todo, al subsistema 2 –fundada sobre la marca anafórico (subsistema 2) / + anafórico (subsistema 3)– y por su oposición al subsistema 4, pues este tiene la marca + implica frecuencia de los eventos, ausente del subsistema 3.

Subsystem 3 deals with the determiners which gather the following general features: (strictly) temporal, non-comparative, non-modal, non-durative, without determining repetition, not implying the frequency of the events, deictic, anaphoric. As far as their specific marks are concerned, the aforementioned determiners may be described by means of the next oppositions: ± necessary temporal simultaneity with another event, ± relationship with the parts of a previous event, ± anterior / posterior, ± imminent, ± final, ± necessarily implying a previous homologous occasion, ± specific temporal space between event 1 and event 2, ± addition, negative addition / double negative (affirmative), ± presupposition, non-remote / ± remote / remote, ± definite, ± particularized, ± precise limits , ± accurate, ± previous coordinated events, ± event determining the performative structure, ± immediate. If we link these specific oppositions with the above-mentioned general features, a subsystem of seventy different types of determiners could be established. Nonetheless, the interpretation of subsystem 3 is determined by its opposition as a whole to subsystem 2 –based on the feature anaphoric (subsystem 2) / + anaphoric (subsystem 3)– and also by its opposition to subsystem 4, since this one contains the feature + implying the frequency of the events, which is absent from subsystem 3.
