Abstract
The car sector experiences a huge rate of growth and frenetic change. This market is in continuous movement where state of the art technologies play a fundamental roll on its development. In its incessant hunt of reducing costs of maintenance and fuel, just like greenhouse gases, trying to obtain additionally better performance and power outputs. The current project deals with these questions looking for an unitary solution. For so, it has been selected the addition of a turbocharged group, which helps to achieve those objectives, without the necessity of any other additional modification. Therefore, the study will start with an atmospheric engine which after analyzing its thermodynamic cycle, it will be joined to a turbocharged group in order to obtain better performances and power outputs. Throughout the document it will deal with previous studies as well as additional necessary ones, since the addition of this turbo group may cause anomalies in the operation of the engine, in respond to these changes. Finally, there will be a chapter focused on the future lines of study which could complement this project, in order to reinforce the ideas already presented, and to host alternatives to the current market.
