Abstract
El presente artículo estudia la confluencia del valor de culto y del valor cultural en inmuebles catalogados como bienes de interés cultural en propiedad y posesión de la Iglesia Católica. Tras un análisis de la evolución hasta el significado presente del valor cultural y de sus componentes históricas y artísticas así como del valor de culto, desde la formación de un patrimonio asignado al mismo a las consideraciones actuales, se reflexiona sobre la convivencia entre ambos concepto de valor cuando coinciden en la misma realidad construida. El examen del marco jurídico de la regulación en el derecho canónico, en el derecho comparado y en el derecho español y la investigación en torno a las cualidades intrínsecas de la arquitectura sirven de base para aportar soluciones a los posibles conflictos.
This article examines the convergence of a worship value and a cultural value in buildings listed as heritage which are in ownership and possession of the Catholic Church. After an analysis of the evolution towards the current meaning of cultural value and its historical and artistic components as well as the value of worship, from the formation of heritage specifically for cultural means to modern-day considerations, there follows a reflection about the coexistence of both when they appear in the same constructed reality. The study of the legal framework of regulation in Canon Law, Comparative Law and Spanish Law alongside an investigation about the intrinsic qualities of Architecture provides a bedrock on which possible solutions to possible conflicts can be built.
