La inserción de la Universidad de Oviedo en la trama urbana de las ciudades asturianas

Abstract

Se analiza el proceso histórico reciente en el que la Universidad de Oviedo, lejos de conformar un campus universitario, en el sentido estricto del término, no sólo ha experimentado un proceso de dispersión física de sus unidades en la ciudad de la que toma el nombre, sino que ha acabado por incorporar algunos de sus elementos a los espacios urbanos de Gijón y Mieres.

The insertion of the University of Oviedo into the urban network of Asturias towns. We analyze the recent historic course through which, far from shaping a university campus strictly speaking, the Oviedo University not only has experiment a dispersion of its unities in to the city from which it takes the name, but it also has incorporated some of its elements to the urban frames of Gijón and Mieres.
