Abstract: The purpose of this project is to detect when an epileptic seizure has happened. Epileptic electroencephalogram signals (EEG) have been analyzed using Short Time Fourier Transform (STFT) and Wavelet Transform (WT). When epileptic events occur, EEG signals are nonstationary. For this reason, STFT and WT have to be applied in this research to analyze these signals and to extract the most representative features of them. The aim is to process a set of signals from several pacients so that they can be classified by a classifier in order to find when a seizure has happened.
