La actividad ferial y congresual en España

Abstract

Resumen: Desde 1992 la actividad ferial y congresual han experimentado un incremento sustancial en todos sus parámetros. El presente artículo pretende señalar su evolución reciente, identificar sus principales magnitudes, mostrar su distribución territorial y apuntar los impactos que se derivan de estas actividades. Finalmente se expone una serie de consideraciones sobre los factores e infraestructuras que explican la actual y futura distribución tanto de las ferias como de los congresos en España.

Summary: Since 1992 trade fairs, congress, conventions and meetings activity stands are at a time of increased growth and development. The purpose of this paper is to contribute to a better knowledge of their recent evolution, to point out their dimensions, to show their regional distribution, and to explain the effects that these activities are having. Finally, we take into account the main factors and the infrastructures that can explain the current and future distribution of trade fairs and trade congresses in Spain.
