As mobility increases, transport accessibility is particularly relevant. Women both use the city intensively and present a mobility pattern different to meno The mam users of public transport are women, the elderly and children. Even so, the b~ transport system is designed according to a male mobility pattefIl; Gender perspective provides an important improvement to the transport sector that goes in favour ofmore sustainablecities. This chapter presentsthe resuIts of an Action-Research project carried out in the cityof Pamplona, Spain, aimed to improve the city public transport system from women's perspective.
