Author(s): Fernández-Cortés, Juan Pablo; Ramos Contioso, Sara
Abstract: Despite Jesus Guridi's liturgical music belonging to the period marked by the precepts of Pope Pius X's Motu Proprio, a large part of his works goes beyond a simple assumption of those precepts and displays original solutions to the problems originated by the guidelines of ecclesiastics regulations. This text explores the main characteristics of the compositional language of Gurid's liturgical music.</summary>

Author(s): Fernández-Cortés, Juan Pablo
Abstract: The search for a language that is appropiate to achieve a coherent integration between popular a highbrow elements was one of the constant features of Spanish nationalist music. This paper presents an analysis of the Auartet in A Major "Carlos III" by Conrado del Campo (1878-1953) as an example or a skifull syntesis between a solid constructive technique and a material that evokes the "castizo" qualities of the 18th century.</summary>
