Title: De la enseñanza a la ciencia del Derecho: biografía colectiva de juristas españoles (1857-1943) Author(s): Martín, Sebastián Abstract: En las presentes líneas se presenta en toda su integridad un proyecto de investigación coordinado por Carlos Petit y que se propone la reconstrucción de la corporación de catedráticos de derecho en la universidad española desde 1857 a 1943. En primer lugar, se expone el estado de la cuestión sobre el asunto y los presupuestos metodológicos de este tipo de investigaciones, en las que confluyen los usos de la prosopografía, los resortes de la biografía y los propósitos de la sociografía histórica. En segundo lugar, se describe el instrumento que emplearemos para llevar a cabo el proyecto. En tercero, se analizan las diferentes fases que éste atravesará, desde el vaciado de los escalafones de catedráticos, sobre los cuales se realiza algún apunte historiográfico, hasta la consulta de expedientes personales y de oposiciones. Y en quinto y último lugar, se exponen los objetivos perseguidos, destacando entre todos ellos la elaboración de un banco digital de datos y de un diccionario biográfico de juristas españoles.; It introduces the complete research project, coordinated by Prof. Carlos Petit, for the identification of the faculty of Law head professors in the Spanish universities from 1857 to 1943. First of all, it shows the state of the issue and the methodologies used in this kind of research, which include prosopography, the means of biographical sciences, and the ends and goals of the sociography. Secondly, it describes the computer tool used to develop and carry on the project. Third, it shows the different phases of the project: from the transcription of the faculty muster rolls, where some historiographic notes are added, to the verification of personal, professional and academic records. And lastly, it describes the target goals, specially the development of a database and a biographical dictionary of Spanish jurists.

Además de su edición, el trabajo indaga en la naturaleza de los distintos reglamentos que se sucedieron a lo largo del siglo XIX, la personalidad de su autor (el marqués de Morante, rector de la Universidad) y algunas claves de lectura del texto.; In 1853, the Spanish government sanctioned the bylaws of its Central University, document that had remained unpublished until now. These bylaws are published in this article that, in addition, researches the character of their author, the Marquis of Morante (then Chancellor of the university), as well as the nature of the different bylaws that the University had along the nineteenth century, and it explains key aspects of the original document.
